Michael Zloza

Michael Zloza holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) with emphasis in Marketing from Benedictine University, is certified in Pet CPR and First aid, always putting the health and safety of the pet first. In continuing his education about the pet industry Michael has also attended many seminars and workshops to better understand the different behaviors of all types of pets. In doing so Michael has received certifications from PetQuest 2012, different Bath & Brush techniques certification in 2012 and many other certifications for participation.

Michael is also an active member of the National Dog Groomers Association of American (NDGAA), World Pet Association, American Kennel Club of America (AKC), Chicagoland Bichon Frise Club, Elgin Kennel Club, Wheaton Chamber of Commerce and Better Business Bureau (BBB). In 2015, Michael joined The International Society of Canine Cosmetologists (ISCC) which is known as the Harvard of Dog Grooming, so that he can earn more certifications (Merits) in pet health and well being.

Michael has been in the grooming industry for over 3 years, owning his own business, Spotted Paw Shop in Wheaton Illinois since 2011. Michael has managed, helped and supported his wife Cristyn Zloza groom competitively as her assistant throughout the U.S. since 2013, winning multiple national awards in multiple competition classes.

Michael & Cristyn, in conjunction with Spotted Paw Shop are very active in the rescue circuit. Michael & Cristyn have personally fostered over 96 dogs and cats, in addition helping find forever homes for over 126 dogs and cats. Since 2013, Michael & Cristyn travel to Best Friends Animal Society, in Utah, and volunteer their time every fall. While there they help with Best Friends everyday needs, at the same time learn vital lessons about the rescue and how to contribute year round.

Michael & Cristyn currently have two Standard Poodles, two Mini Poodles, a Bichon Frise, and a Russian Blue / Himalayan Mix Cat and co owns several show dogs.
